NinjaPilot uses color-coded LED pulses synced to your heartbeat, making your current zone visible at a glance. Why does my heart rate seem to drop during intense strength training?
This can happen because NinjaPilot’s armband reads blood flow, not direct electrical heart activity. When
you're doing high-intensity movements—like lifting weights or intense dancing—holding your breath (bracing
or straining) can reduce blood flow to your arms. This triggers a false drop in detected heart rate, even
though your actual heart rate is high.
In reality, your heart is likely working hard—but irregular breathing or breath-holding (commonly seen in
weightlifting or intense moves) affects how blood circulates through the body and past the sensor.
Tip:
Always breathe steadily during strength or high-effort movements. Breath-holding can increase chest
pressure, spike blood pressure, reduce blood return to the heart, and even cause dizziness or
fatigue—especially for those with heart conditions.
What is Heart Age?
Your Heart Age is a reflection of your biological age. Unlike your ID Age (calendar age), Heart Age shows how old your body is internally.
How is Heart Age measured?
- Exercise and keep your heart rate in the orange zone (zone 4) for at least one minute.
- When NinjaPilot starts blinking, stop workout and stay still.
- Press the Home button — NinjaPilot measures your heart rate recovery and reveals your Heart Age.
Why is my Heart Age older than my ID age?
An older Heart Age means your body aginig faster than expected, often due to factors like lack of fitness, poor sleep, stress, or lifestyle habits. It’s a sign your biological systems are working harder than they should.
Why does my Heart Age change so much?
Heart Age reflects current physical condition and can vary based on :

After measuring Heart Age, NinjaPilot updates your workout zones automatically. These new zones are personalized to help you recover better, train more effectively, and work toward lowering your Heart Age over time.

No. For best results, turn off other heart rate devices during pairing to avoid slow or incorrect connections.
